The InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa sits aside a pristine sandy beach on Motu Piti Aau. (In Tahitian, a motu is a coral islet.) Located on the eastern side of Bora Bora, we are accessible exclusively by boat, which makes for particularly breathtaking and unique panoramas. From our resort, guests gaze at the main island and its 727-meter-tall icon Mount Otemanu as it rises up from the turquoise waters of the lagoon.
Our central location makes direct airport transfers to and from the main island of Bora Bora very convenient—the boat trip takes just 20 minutes. The charming Bora Bora airport is not located on the main island but on a motu, accessible only by boat. Shuttle boat service is available with prior reservation and fees apply. Please inform the central reservation desk, the hotel front desk or concierge department of your flight details before arrival.
Additionally, we offer boat transfers to the InterContinental Bora Bora Le Moana Resort on Matira Beach.
From the Le Moana Resort guests may easily access Matira Beach, the sole public beach on the island of Bora Bora. Nearby shops include souvenir stalls, a supermarket, bike and car rental, snack shops and restaurants, art galleries and even tattoo artists. With a short taxi ride, visitors can find more restaurants, bars and market stalls in the main village of Vaitape.
